Even when they say that its a replica of the Anfield experience,

I still want my REAL Anfield experience.

He is so different now as compared to 10 years ago.

I still remember going for his showcase at Singapore Expo and was uberly excited seeing him in person upclose.
There was another time, i followed my grandma and uncle to Sentosa with just one intention, to see NewBoyz.

If you like Kenny Rogers, you should definitely give Barcelos Flame Grilled Chicken at Vivo City a try.

Located on the 2nd level just opposite Ben & Jerry, the place is cozy and have limited seats.
The service is like Pastamania,
where you place your orders at the counter and they will serve to your table.

Price range is within my affordable range, given the large portion.

I had Twin Chicken Skewers.

The Boy had 1/4 Chicken.

The meat is soft and well marinated.
You can choose the Spicy Level from Tangy Lemon to Super Peri.

If you need to add more spicyness, they provide their sauces on the table.

My favourite, fries with Tangy Lemon sauce.
Taste like potato chips.
Delicious.. yum yum *lick fingers*

I want to eat their burgers, but too bad i can't bite.
One day...for sure i will...no matter how it hurts.

The Coastal Scents 88 shimmer palette.

The shadows are quite shimmery (as the name tells it) and have a nice frost to them.
They are very pigmented and easy to blend.
Mix them with the right combi, they look pretty on your lids.

Price: S$34 for 88 colours the size of a 5-cent coin.

28 colour blush palette from Coastal Scents as well.

Some are matt and some are shimmery.
The colours are more in the pink range and that is what i like.
Apply a little on your cheek and it last all day.

Price: S$29 for 28 colour the size slightly bigger than a 50-cent coin.

I placed my order through MyClassyCloset and received a liquid eye-liner.
The colour is pretty but the smell...horrible, very chemically.
No way I'm using it on my eyelid.

Good Friday was really goooddd with the thumbs up.
Went make-up shopping with The Boy from Sephora to Tangs Beauty Counters to Isetan.
What i settled for, is still Anna Sui, as always.
This is my LOVE...i won't deny.

Comparable to Fish & Co and Manhattan Fish Market, we had our weekend dinner at Naked Fish Shoppe.

Situated at The Grassroots’ Club next to Yio Chu Kang MRT Station, its a nice cosy place to dine,
away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Naked Fish Shoppe serves seafood and below is one of the favorites - Seafood Platter.

If you don't favor sea creatures, they serve chicken as well.

We had the set meals which include soup of the day, main course,
dessert (pineapple pie) and drink (coffee or tea).

I nearly cleaned my plate.

It didnt took long to make our selections as there is not plenty.

Great Escape 2

Happy happy as happy as can be. The trip that was planned since last year did materialised.

It was my first holiday to Thailand and you can understand why i was very hyped about it and still am after the trip.

"Bangkok" - shopping frenzy and bargain city

Day 1 - Saturday

First stop of the trip was Jim Thompson Thai Silk .

The above picture was taken at the main outlet. If you take the colourful cabs, tell the driver to go to Surawong Road, Jim Thompson. The driver should know this famous place and he will drop you at the main outlet.

If you are price conscious, please do not enter the shop, let me warn you! Looking through the windows are enough and you might get a glance of their price tags.

Walk along the street about 15 minutes (depending on your speed and eagerness), you will find their Factory Outlet.

It was silk crazy as i bought 10 pieces for my share and the rest got two each. How could i not resist the colours and the price which was selling at S$12 per meter. Its way cheaper than at Arab Street.

After being blinded by the silky colours, it was time for early dinner at a Persian restaurant nearby. The food tasted different as compared to Amirah's Grill at Arab street and cost half the price.

At night, me and The Boy ventured Pratunam after sending the bags of silk to our hotel room.
Went to Platinum Fashion Mall but it was closing at 8pm SHARP.

So we decided to take the tuk tuk to the high end shopping area. The tuk tuk didn't bring us to the jewellery shop and never once they did coz we ride the tuk tuk at sun down.

Siam Paragon was like Paragon and Takashimaya combined. Central World was kind of like Vivo City.
It was humongous but too bad we had to rush before the shop closes on time - it amazes me how by 10.00pm sharp, all the sales assistance were out from the main entrance.

I didn't buy anything except for a Roxy Wallet but look at what the damage it brings to The Boy.
In Bangkok, boys are like girls... A little over than us. They shopped like they never shop before and understood the true meaning of retail therapy.

Day 2 - Sunday

The day was started very early in the morning. Breakfast at the hotel, First House, was simply the same for the two days of our stay.

Me and The Boy went to Jim Thompson again! to buy more silk for his mother which she decided late last night when
he called to update her on our adventure.

Chatuchak was next on the itinerary. Finally i had the chance to be here..yippies!!

Chatuchak was like Bugis Street but even bigger and it won't take you 1.5 hour to comb the place.
There's many shops to enter, many tops, skirts, dress, pants, accessories to buy. I used up half my budget for the trip at Chatuchak itself.
Never underestimate the power of shopping at Chatuchak...your pockets will be sucked dry.
Its like as if all the items you see, you ~~need~~ want them and buying just one ain't enough.

I LOOOVVEEEE all the stuffs i bought and i want more.

I don't abit look like the Thai girls..do i?
Three shop keepers thought i am and talked to me in Thai. I looked at them and went "HUH?".
"You no Thai" said the shop keeper.
"No, i no Thai" i responded while staring at The Boy who was giggling.

At 6.00pm, it started to pour with human and rain thus we made our way back to Pratunam for dinner at A&W and continued shopping at Pratunam Night Market.

I miss the taste of hot waffles topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce and the root beer float. By the way, A&W is located at Phantip Plaza a.k.a Sim Lim Square.

What did i say about boys shopping??

At Pratunam, it was easy to find Halal food especially near Baiyoke. We ate at Maedah trice which served Thai and Middle Eastern food.

Day 3 - Monday

Our last day at Bangkok, managed to have breakfast with The Group.

In Bangkok, my plan was simple.. own time own plan..as i know that it will be difficult to coordinate everyone to go out together unless if we are going to the same place.
Cab sharing is a money saver.

Found the chance to go to Platinum Fashion Mall while the shops are opening before heading to the airport. Did my last bits of shopping at that girls' paradise. *smilez*

"Phuket" - Island Paradise

Day 3 - Monday

'It hurts'. That's all i have to say of the domestic flight to Phuket with AirAsia.

Getting nearer to Phuket, the scenery from above was breathtaking and i was going snap snap snap of the blue ocean and green islands.

Once at Phuket, we got on the airport transfer to Karon Princess Hotel which took an hour.

The van passed by Patong and it was nothing i ever seen before. The streets were lined with clubs after clubs an another. The only shopping centre i saw at Patong was Jungceylon. A taxi driver told us that it was Singapore owned. Other than that, there were night markets scattered around.

After checked in, we headed for dinner at Cairo Restaurant located at Bangla Road, Patong. It was Thai Seafood galore.

The Boy went berserk over oysters at S$2 each. For the three nights we were at Phuket, he had two oysters every night.

They had sheesha too...comparable to KL's. They made me high for sure.

Day 4 - Tuesday

In the morning, had a better view of Karon Princess Hotel.
It's really a chill out hotel, located at Karon Beach. Just across the street, was the open sea and behind the hotel, was the mountainaeous area.
I would recommend this to you if ever you're visiting Phuket. Tuk tuk service was easy to get as there were a few taxi services hut just outside the hotel along the streets.
A ride to Patong Beach will cost between 300 Baht to 400 Baht.

On the left side of the hotel lined some shop. There's tour agencies, massage shops, minimarts and eateries. The right side of the hotel, was a night market. Futher down was Karon Circle.
Didn't get to go there but a fren told that there was a halal Thai restaurant.

Bike can be rented for about 200 Baht for 24 hrs at the hotel or any shops nearby.

Some of the boys rented one each and...
Some thing funny happened which i shall not elaborate.

The rest of us took the tuk tuk to Phuket Town where the items were cheaper as compared to Patong.

The tuk tuk here was different than in Bangkok. Its a mini pick up truck and it was so cool with blue and orange lights at night.
Please be assured that the drivers here will take you to your destination with no detours.

Day 5 - Wednesday

This day was the highlight of the trip - Island Hopping!!

Visiting the jewels of the Andaman Sea should be top priority for first timers, like me.
The day before, we went to various tour agencies to survey the packages. They offered the same but at different prices. We got a good deal at the tour agent near our hotel.

Transport to and fro provided.
Lunch provided.
Costs only 1400 Baht per person. The cheapest we could find.

The day started at 8.00am to a harbour which was crowded with tourists.

We were divided into colour coded groups with about 35 people per speedboat.
Our tour guide was Lucy. S/He was super funny and got the hots for The Boy.
Smacked that!

First island stopover was Ma Ya Bay.
The white sandy beaches, the crystal blue sea, the rocky mountains, i can't resist it but to go gaga.

45 minutes later, got back to the speedboat and cruised along Viking Cave and Monkey Beach.

Lucy said that the walls of the caves were filled with drawing of the the vikings and thats how it was named after.

I wondered how the monkeys get to this beach... hmm....

Snorkelling in the open sea at Loh Samah Bay was fun and salty. I like it so much that i swam without the lifevest.
Like they say, i can float anywhere... khehe.

Lunch in the afternoon was at Phi Phi Don. No need to worry as food was halal and all soup items tasted like tom yam.

The rest of the day was spent at Khai Islands. It was a small island filled with rented chairs.

I wanted eargerly to waddle in the water..but it was scorching hot.
Eventually, i had the chance to explore the island and play with the fishes!

The common fish you'll see is this type. Give them food, and they will surround you.
Tried to catch one but they were to fast.

Waves of the andaman sea... beautiful. It was nothing like the pictures above.
You need to be there to experience it for real.

The trip ended at 4.00pm and it was heavy for me to leave the islands and head back to Phuket.

Back at Karon, me and The Boy continued our ala island paradise dream at the beach of Karon.

The last night for the last time, had dinner at another Thai Arabic seafood restaurant just like the night before at Patong.
The Boy had a night to rememeber...

Me and The Boy later walked along the night life area. It was a terrible scene which i wouldn't want to be involved in.

Bapoks and girls everywhere looking for their man of the night. Seductive *bleurgh* a bapok had a wardrobe malfunction at my very eyes...nipple slipped.

Nontheless, we ended our final night with a sweet dessert from Haagen Dazs.

Day 6 - Thursday

It was time for us to head back to Singapore.
Having no other choices, we had to take the second and last flight from Phuket.
Didn't take any pixs though coz i was being emo to end my holidays.

Overall, this first trip to Thailand was an experience to cherish, a memory that will be remembered for long.

Planning for another Bangkok trip in the near future - shopping and sight seeing only.

Great Escape 1

Well, finally i have the time to update this virtual space of mine.

"JULY" is a fantastic month for me... Holiday yeeaahh!!
1st to Bintan on July 19 to 20. Next to Bangkok and Phuket on July 26 till 31.

.:BINTAN:.

"Bintan" was the place of choice for this year's Company outing for the employees. My first to join in and first Bintan visit.

We were welcomed by the tarian and gamilan but no one seem interested. Guess my colleagues were more interested in the paintball and ATV that were scheduled upon arrival till me and a friend were left behind.

So, what did we do?
Explored the place and take pictures while waiting for lunch.

After lunch, we had some teambuilding games which was the main purpose of the trip.

It was fun to see the kid in them during the team building games.

That's my room which i bunked in with Jenny and Fazila. We were lucky to get this side of the resort as everything were in order and there was an extra mattress in the room.
Of coz lah this side was better as the big bosses were here too. We have to remind ourself to really keep our volume down. ; )

Imagine that on the other side of the resort, the flush was not working and the doors can't be locked!!
So much so for an expensive resort like this.

The lobby area was nice and well kept but the chandelier was full with cobwebs. *yikes*

This is a true money saving trip... every thing was paid for and nothing tempted me from the souvenirs shop, which was
expensive!

Lunch and Breakfast was superb with a wide variety of food to choose from which was the plus point.
The minus point was, the taste wasn't that spectacular.

Dinner was suppose to be by the beach under the ~~cloudy~~ sky. It will be so romantic if it didn't rain that night.

Since it was raining, plan B was to have dinner at their entertainment centre which took an hour to set up.

I scream for ICE CREAM!!!

Cold Rock Ice Creamery is something entirely different and fun.
There's a variety of flavours and topings to select from.
You can Mix and Match to see them mashed on a piece of frozen granite slab (its like those kind of "stove" to fry roti prata with)
by the cold rockers.

You can have your own creation as the slogan goes...

" If you can Dream it, We can Ice Cream it."

We had two regular cups of milo with maltesers and bubblegum with marshmallows.
Our creation was kind of simple coz considering the price, it was no way cheap.
A regular and large cup cost S$6 and S$7.50 respectively.
Each toppings is at a dollar each. Taste wise, it was superb.
So if you wont mind paying and experiencing a new twist to ice creams, do give them a visit.

Located at Lorong Mambong, Holland Village, it is not an easy miss.
The store is just down the road of coffee club.

I am SO proud of Hady Mirza for winning the first ever Asian Idol tittle.
It was really a suprise surprise as most of the judges never did mention Hady's name as the one to win other than their own country's. Sure it proves them wrong.
It was so unexpected altho among the six i was rooting for either Jaclyn or Hady.
They have the best showmanship among the six.

At the end of the competition, very one is a winner in their own country.

Congratulations!!!

The donuts didnt fell off the lorry but look at what it did to my uncle's car that i drove.

That belo Munchy Donut driver came into my lane
without realising that all cars in front had slowed down due to the road works.
Syukur no one was injured.

Having a large extended family, i don't think i had done most of the visiting.
There's still lots more to go especially on the mum's side.

Hari Raya for the past years seems the same to me, the same scenario, the same story.
I wonder does my dad ever get tired from hurrying us (girls) to prepare every time after his aidilfitri prayers?
I can just complete the sentences for him.
Tho there are things i miss bout aidilfitri...
Like the yearly paternal family picture at grandma's house.
Coz now the family is too large to gather in that Marine Terrace house in order to fit the camera frame. *giggles*
Maybe next year might be different...
No longer will i receive but to give...insyaAllah

Finally I'm an official graduate.

The Degree Conferment & Awards Ceremony was held early this morning in SIM.
The day was mine and this is an occasion that I am proud about.

I would like to congratulate the Graduates of RMIT Business 33rd Intake.
To all my Friends, I wish you well and may we have a bright future ahead and use the knowledge given to our best.
To my Mum and Dad, the greatest appreciation could not ever repay what u've provided me, the resources, patience and understanding. I'll not stop here but continue to climb up further and make you proud.
To the Young Ones, I as the eldest in the families had set the standard and it's up to you to achieve and overcome where I am now.
To a Special Someone, here's something for you:

The first time being away on a National Day holiday wasn't that bad at all. Explored Eastern Malaysia on wheels.
The furtherst drive i ever had so far, from Kota Tinggi to Mersing to Teluk Chempedak and Cherating all the way to the border of Terengganu.

Driving on the winding and hilly roads seems like an arcade.
But reality is, its scary especially when there's big trucks carrying a full load of logs in front of you.
Thank goodness everything went well and we reach our destinations safely.

At Air Papan, Mersing, we stayed at Fishing Bay Beach Resort .
A very private and kampung-like layout with only 20 chalet rooms spread across the area.

Went fireflies watching at night with a ranger telling us alot bout the creature, small yet amazing.
Its a wonder how they could produce that light.
It was an experience...

Next stop was Cherating, a 4 hrs drive from Mersing.

There, part of my dreams came true.
Always wanted to visit a natural beach and finally i'm here facing the South China Sea with no ships on the horizon.
The place was super fantastic.
Couldn't resist the waves, the sand, the open sea and the breeze.

My weekend was filled with fun, heat and loved ones.

On Saturday the national stadium came to live once again with the cheers of fans and the kallang waves. I was there to catch the match between the veterans, lions and aussies. It was my second time catching a live match. I cant really remember my first experience since i was quite young at that time. The only thing i remembered was my grandma getting hyped up when the ball gets nearer to the goal post.

Its blerdy hot lah that day...was sweating and tanned.

Overall, it was an experience to cherish.

On Sunday, spent the whole day in Malaysia.

We drove up the Malaysia Highway to a relative wedding in Muar, then to Melaka.
The day was so hot till i saw a mirage on the road.
At the wedding, we the Singaporeans were bathing in sweat wheareas our counterpart was cool in the heat.
Ya...talk about getting use to the heat...hmmm

I drove for the first time on the Malaysian Highway from Melaka.
I went above 120km/h for about 1hr then i freaked out.
My reflexes arent good and it had been a long time since i last drove a manual car.

Maybe i'll polish it up and will go back again.

And i discovered that some members of my family know something bout me that they are not suppose to.

Batam weekend for me and my family. A last minute holiday trip before the holidays are over.

Nothing much i can say bout the country. It aint that super interesting xcept for its cheap.

Lunch on Saturday was at a seafood kelong. Food was ok, but i prefer the one at Johor.

Dinner was at a padang restaurant near our hotel.
Long row of dishes with some i've never tasted and tried. That was the first for me.

Shopping wasn't that exciting.
There's no international brands except their stuffs and i prefer guys clothing than ladies.
On average a piece of shirt would cost around S$6.

Money was spent on jcodonuts.
Serious damage was done as boxes and boxes of it was bought.
How could i not resist them...soft and fluffy.
and best of all a dozen cost $7.
Cheap right!!!

So u should know what to get for me if u're there or anywhere. (",

Lets count rupiah with me and my mum.
Its so confusing for her with the many zeros on the note.
A weekend millionaire lah...

I told her this,
"why not give me all ur money?"
"ill manage it for you."

At the end of the trip i was happy to be back in Singapore.
The greenery and high rise building.

So thats the short weekend gateaway to a place that never did i had imagine to go.

Oh yeah...this coughing is too irritating that i can't even have a conversation with people.

2007: A new year here again
New resolutions being made and brought forward resolutions yet to be achieved.

2006 seems to past really fast. Its the year when i turned 21. The stage of life where i'm no longer a girl, not yet a women.

Nice beautiful memories of 2006 i'll tresure, the bad ones repeat i shall not.

2007 a fresh start for me. A smooth ride i won't expect it to be. Challenges and bumps exist for sure. Dampen my spirit it would not. Overcoming them i will, ensuring everything goes my way.
